Fountain View Manor of Granite City, Illinois was a participant in the September 20, 2009 Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk for the second year in a row. Led by Karen Taylor, Administrator of Fountain View Manor, "this year we had an informational booth along with a wonderful team made up from both staff members and the family members of our residents." The team was able to raise $3,500 to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, which will be used for education, treatment, and the research and development toward identifying a cure. "It was a great feeling to have so many family members and staff join me on the Memory Walk," Karen Taylor concluded.
Fountain View Manor Hosts Alzheimer’s Association Support Group

Fountain View Manor will host monthly Alzheimer’s Association Support Group meetings at its Granite City location. An Alzheimer’s Association Support Group is a scheduled gathering led by a trained professional or volunteer. People who attend are family, friends, and other caregivers who have a loved one with Alzheimer’s disease, a related dementia or memory problems. Support groups provide opportunities to share struggles and solutions.
The meetings at Fountain View Manor will be held on second Tuesday of every month at a time to be announced. To view a flyer with more details, please click here.
Fountain View Celebrates Grand Opening

Fountain View Manor celebrated its grand opening on February 18, 2009 at a special ribbon-cutting ceremony. Attending the Grand Opening was the Frontier Management team of President and CEO Greg Roderick; Chief Operating Officer Matthew Dunham; local investment team of Mark Newkirk, Richard Buenger, Gail Buenger, and other supportive investors; Administrator Karen Taylor; Nurse Manager Carla Stuebert and Marketing Director Cindy Kenney. Members of our local community really stepped up and supported our grand opening, along with Southwestern Madison County Chamber of Commerce President Rosemarie Brown, Edwardsville Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce President Carol Foreman and many members of Madison county medical community.
